COUPONING DEALS AT ULTA

i love couponing for drugstore goodies, i get a thrill out of it. if you do it right, you can get amazing deals. i spent $10.50 at ulta today (before tax), and without coupons and sales all of this would have costed me about $28 (that's about a 63% savings!). 

firstly, some basic rules for couponing at ulta:

#1. YOU CAN USE MANUFACTURER COUPONs AT ULTA, BUT YOU CAN ONLY USE ONE MANUFACTUREr COUPON PER ITEM. FOR EXAMPLE, I HAD A $1 OFF OF RIMMEL EYE PRODUCTS AND ANOTHER COUPON FOR $1 OFF OF RIMMEL EYE, LIPS AND NAILS. I only BOUGHT one Item from rimmel so I COULD ONLY USE ONE of the COUPONs. MOST DRUGSTORES WOULD LET YOU USE BOTH coupons on the one product. 

#2. you can also combine ulta's store COUPONS (3.50 off 10 or 20% off one item) with manufacturers coupons. when using the 3.50 off, your total must still come to $10 or more after using the manufacturers coupons. 

for this trip i only used coupons found in the sunday paper and 3.50 off of $10 ulta coupon. so how did i get everything for $10.50?

• ulta has buy one get one ½ off on l'oreal advanced haircare, making the COLOR VIBRANCY shampoo $4.99 and the VOLUME FILLER conditioner $2.50. then i had $4 off any two l'oreal advanced haircare shampoos or conditioners. together making the shampoo and conditioner $3.50. 
• clairol nice and easy hair dye (NATURAL MEDIUM BROWN) was $7.99 and i had $3 off clairol hair COLOR coupon, making it $4.99. 
• nivea lip balms were $2.99 each and i had a coupon for $3 off any two nivea lip products. making The total OF THE LIP BUTTER (VANILLA AND MACADAMIA KISS) AND KISS OF MINT AND MINERALS lip balm COME TO $3.
• all rimmel london products are on sale for $1 off, making the shadow sticks $3.49. then i had a $1 off coupon making THE SCANDALEYES EYESHADOW STICK (BOOTLEG BROWN) $2.49.
• Lastly, i had the ulta 3.50 off 10 coupon. my total after using the manufacturers coupons came to $14, and with 3.50 off, i got everything for $10.50.
